c-section swelling

I am soooo swollen right now... my feet are like elephant feet and my hands are numb and my nose looks like a clown nose (except that it's not red). I am way more swollen now than when I was pregnant. I don't remember being this swollen after my c-section with Liam although I was still in the hospital at this point and very sick. They pumped me FULL of fluids...

How long does it take to go away? Any hints to help it go away faster?

I think resting and putting your feet up helps - I do remember the swelling with my first. If you are worried I would call your midwife in the morning or the doctor. Hugs! My friend was very swollen for about 4 days or so at home and then it started going down. Totally normal I believe. She recouped really fast too... Remember to rest and to balance it with walking without outdoing yourself.

Are you drinking lots of water?

I remember being sooooo swollen too. My feet felt like I was walking
on water balloons. It was gross. It felt gross. I just did the best I could
and drank a lot of water and it went down within a week.

Swelling sucks... they pump a lot of fluids into you during and after the surgery which doesn't help things in that department - I remember my feet feeling like they were sloshing when I walked. Put them up as much as you can and wait it out. It really should get better within a week or so.
