Has anyone crafted with buttons to make flowers ect on kids shirts?

DD has a couple of tops with embroidered designs finished with buttons. ! has embroidered stems and leaves with little button flowers, and I think the other has embroidered grass with little button bunnies.

They are both bought ones though, since the decorated tops are not much more than I plain ones here.

Can you post a picture of them? DD has a bunch of plain shirts that I want to make more interesting. I am looking for inspiration!
