Yay! I get to start one!

*snort*

Who's still hanging out in this joint? We're all officially "past" our due dates now, so come out, come out, wherever you are!

Things have slowed down a bit, I hope they pick back up, or I'll feel bad about getting my dh and my sis out of bed at 5:30

I have learned the hard way that walking does not necessarily turn prodromal labor into active labor. Friday night I was having the usual ten minute apart contractions and started walking and walking and stayed upright and moving around when I wasn't walking for hours. The cxts got closer and stronger, until they were 1-2 min apart, 5 min if resting on my side. They were still too short and not strong enough, but I thought they'd keep progressing and was worried about the time it would take to wake my parents and get them over to watch the kids, drive to the hospital, then wake up the cnm. I was already 3-4 cm and 0 station earlier that day.
After walking for over an hour at the hospital with no progress (in cxt or cervix), I went home, contracted for three more hours with bad back pain, and then stopped in time for one hour of sleep. Nothing but the occasional series of mild cxt since then, plus new aches and pains in my legs and back and digestive upset.
If I don't deliver by tomorrow, at 42 weeks, I have to seen one of the obs I've never met and will be considered "high risk." We are scheduled this evening for prostoglandins at the hospital. Please let that work.

Hey, there's no guilt when you're pregnant and past your due date. Remember that.

Still here 41wks 2days. Feeling like this early labor stuff will switch over, (has to doesn't it? ) soon. A little unnerved because it's my first. Going in for a non-stress test today. Can't believe it's June already...

I never envisioned having a June baby... it sounds so incredibly foreign to me!

I'm here at 40 wks 2 days, so nothing crazy. But I really did think this baby would be born in May.

Sigh. Still here. Feeling a touch crampy this morning though. This better be it.

I never thought it would be a June baby for me! DD was born on a new moon so maybe the new moon on the 3rd will bring this one too...? I had some boob tingling with BH last night so I hope that means hormones are firing up.

On a side note... I am loving the smell of lawnmowers and exhaust lately... whats up with that?!

Yay for cramps! :

Still here, mom flew in last night and we are keeping busy. VERY pinchy and crampy, but nothing regular. Got woken up with ctx a dozen times last night, but nothing much today. I am hoping she comes out before my mom leaves, since she decided to wait for grandma.

My belly HURTS. It feels like baby is just hanging there. Owie.

In good news, I got a 10% discount at an art stand today because I was past my due date! The guy was really sweet, and said his wife went 2 days overdue and he remembers how miserable she was.

at the discount

Cramps fizzled.

40 wks and 4 days here.

Oh and I'm moving. We found a lovely place thankfully. I'm actually really happy to be moving and it doesn't really matter to me if the baby comes while we're moving - maybe because it means I would be obligated to do even less. We are really blessed to have lots and lots of help.

Wow! Good luck with the move!

Speaking of moving, we have friends who are in our dream house, and they revealed that they're moving in the next month. They just adopted her brother's kids and her parents into their house and can't fit. So now we're desperately trying to juggle finances to see if we can afford to buy the house from them.

... and I'm nervous. I'm never comfortable with moving - I pulled and resisted when we moved into this place, even though it was the only smart option we had, and now I love it here so much it'll be hard to leave this place. But the house they're leaving has a HUGE yard (DH can garden to his heart's content on our own property and we'll still have room for kids and our dog), the extra bedroom we will need once baby gets old enough to need one, and off-street parking. And it's closer to DH's work and a better commute for me.

*wrings hands*

I really just wish this was happening a year from now, yk?

I've never been comfortable with moving either. But that house sounds awesome. I hope you can buy it!

I hate moving but since our bldg is being made into condos well, we don't really have a choice. Seeing how excited my son is about the backyard totally makes it worth the hassle though.

I love how kids pick up on something and go with it. I'm glad he's getting the backyard he wants.

Not trying to get my hopes up yet. Contractions 8 minutes apart, 3 minutes long. Pretty intense. Walking through them, talking in one word phrases... 2 hours now. Lets see if these puppies keep up instead of fizzling in time.
