Hola Dingos! I think I missed a couple days in there...to catch folks up, we on the farm were spared the flooding, but the next town south was hit pretty hard. Lots of people lost a lot of property. We're sort of on a ridge of sorts, so we drain pretty well, and not much of value is in the basement anyway.
Dh's travel plans have once again been reshuffled, and for the first time it appears to be in our favor--looks like he'll be home most of July, and he goes to see his family in August. He's really been busting hump around here, which has been nice. Not that I have not, but we're getting a lot more done with both of us here.
Plus, now that he's around more, I can get more running in. I went for 12 this AM. The first 10 I would say were pretty great. The last two were SO NOT. But it was OK. I really enjoyed the quiet time to daydream. I got out earlier than I have in past weeks, which meant it was only 62 by the time I got home. Excellent.
I made it home and baked enough bread for (I hope) 2 weeks, cooked a big pot of special request beans, and then I went and bought myself some much-needed work clothes that are summer appropriate. Clothes are a tough thing for me. I'm not terribly preoccupied...OK, I don't give a crumpet about fashion per se, but I like to look decent and not ragged. At the same time, I think it's silly that I have to have enough clothes that I can wear things and not have someone recognize that I wore the same thing 4 days ago or whatever.
So I tend to own nondescript clothes. Well, wouldn't you know, such things are getting harder and harder to find.
: I think I'm good for now though. I just bought tops. I have khaki pants, black pants, and skirts in khaki, black, olive and denim, so I can mix and match pretty much everything I own. Ugh.
And then I came home and cashed in my run on an awesome sandwich made with fresh, homemade bread, provolone, mustard, tomato and tuna.
