What is high blood pressure in pregnancy?

My BP is constant in pregnancy at around 130-132 over 70 and my midwives are fine, I am fine with it too. I am just wondering, what is considered high ......

My understanding is that anything above 140/90 is considered high.

My normal BP during pregnancy is 120-128/70-78 Mine went up to 140/90 about a month ago and my MW put me on a high protein diet. I am also taking probiotics and yellow dock and resting on my left side throughout the day. It came down in about two weeks (thank goodness).

If your MW isn't worried and you are eating well (lots of protein, leafy greens, fruits and veggies, whole grains) and getting the rest you need, then you will be fine.

You have to look at what your pre-preg baseline is. The rule of thumb is that it should not climb more than 30 points beyond that on either number, I believe.

Yep, except that it's 30 for the systolic (top number) only and 15 for the diastolic (bottom).

Well today I saw my back-up care provider and it was 116/70 -- so okay! I see my homebirth midwives tomorrow, hopefully still good. If not, I will mention it to them. I think pre-pregnancy I am about 116-124 over /68-72 and my bottom number has stayed the same, only the top has gone up a bit.
