Congratulations!!
you did a GREAT job!
I know well what you're talking about. My big guy nearly got the gaskin maneuver too and my pubic bone is STILL sore. those big babies!
I have an acquaintance whose baby had a brachial nerve injury from birth and it is fully healed now by nearly 1 year.

THanks Christine, I needed to hear that. He has an appointment at 2:30 today. My midwife is not excited about the dr we are seeing (our regular one is out for a few weeks), she is apparently not homebirth friendly at all. We're going to the midwife's house first. Dh wasn't going to go to the dr. Not because he doesn't care, but he works 12 night shifts and did not get more than 2 hours of sleep yesterday due to a power outage (he has sleep apnea and can't sleep without a cpap machine) and has to work again tonight. Once he found out who we were seeing he said he's going and he won't let her give me any crap.

I'm glad he's going with you.FWIW, it's not uncommon with stuck/big babies no matter where they're born. My friend's baby was born in the hospital.

That is one heck of a birth story!!! That is awesome that you didn't tear! I attended a friend's birth with shoulder dystocia, and it was a little scary, even though it was resolved pretty quickly (and she DID have to get out of the tub after pushing out the head
!).
I'm sorry to hear about Noah's arm, though
. I hope it heals up as good as new. Thanks for sharing your story

So we went to the dr and she was incredibly nice. She sent us for an x-ray to make sure his clavicle isn't broken. We will find out tomorrow. THen decide where we go from there.
