Sharp Pains

Hi Girls- I am 36 weeks preggo right now and yesterday I tried to go for a walk and started having sharp shooting pains where the baby comes out (don't you love my medical terms!) They are so bad that I have to stop and bend over until it goes away. It took me 25 minutes to get through one mile!! Then today at the mall, I was walking around just doing normal walking and shopping at the end I started having them again. I am going to ask my mid wife on Wednesday but does anyone else have/had these? Or know what is going on?

I had these yesterday. I attributed my pains to the baby's head dropping and kind of grinding into my pelvis.

Okay, get a bit more medical here! Where, exactly, are the pains? I'll get super sharp knife-like pains in my groin, to the sides of my vulva. More in my inner thigh. I've always considered it sciatic pain as it's so very sharp. Only had it a couple of times (last night, as I was getting up to pee several times it was the worst).

Fun huh!

I've been having cervical shooting pains for the last two weeks... It gets so bad I double over... Its worse when I'm on my feet for long periods of time...

My pains are bottom of the cervix area. I am not glad that you guys are having them too, but I am glad I am not the only one! Do you think it has anything to do with the baby dropping?

I totally think it has to do with the baby dropping. I only started getting them once the baby dropped.

I've got 'em too! Had the pains for a few weeks now. I never experienced this with DD. The OB said it is just the baby's head settling in down there, just in the right spot. I hope she's right!
