Nothing new to report today really, I'm going to try going to yoga again tonight, but if it makes me hurt as much tomorrow as I did last week I'll skip until the baby is born and I'm back to yoga. I didn't think that last weeks' pelvic pain was from yoga, but if it happens again I will. I can't do the laying down stuff (like Bridge, etc.) b/c my sciatic pain hurts so much and my butt bones are really super sensitive, but otherwise, I did good last week... hoping this week is as fun.
It's nice to be active some still.
Hope all our mamas are doing great!

I was going to start it earlier, but MDC was down. Glad it's back up quickly!
37w3d. Feeling good today. My BHs are more uncomfortable, but more spaced out. Had my home visit with my MW last night. Since we measured on my couch laying completely flat, instead of on her exam table, which is ever so lightly elevated, I measured at 34cm. At 36w, I measured at 36cm (I have been right on the whole time), so she thinks it's because I was laying down flatter... but I think I may have dropped a bit. My boss thought I had dropped a little, plus I think my little bout with pre-labor last Friday was due to him dropping a bit and putting more pressure on my cervix and getting things moving. I love my midwife in EVERY SINGLE OTHER ASPECT, but she INSISTS 2nd+ pregnancies, you don't drop. So I'm all of a sudden measuring smaller, I started having more contractions, etc.... but it's because I was laying flat during measuring, not because he dropped. Grrrr..... I don't know why it irritates me, but she just insists it doesn't ever happen. But everything else about her I love. I'll just have to get over it!

Looks like we've sprung a leak.
If not a little one, than perhaps just from the hindbag. Baby was really high upon waking up, like crammed into my ribcage high, lol (due to a full bladder--sorry baby!) and so I noticed alot of watery leakage the last few hours of morning sleep. Got up to pee and lots of bloody mucous in the toilet. No water spillage worth noting as of this afternoon, since baby's head is again well-applied, and only very sporadic, yet painful ctx's happening now...
C'mon labor!

Went to the OB today. She said everything looked good.
Next Friday is the day!
I still haven't made up my mind on if I want a spinal or epidural.
Had the epi last time and it sucked. I could never imagine
begging for one of those bastards! I hated it. Worst part of
the whole c section.
I just don't want to be numb for 12 hours again.
Not...fun...at...all!!!!!
Went to the store and stocked up on food for Nate. My mom
and step dad will watch him for me while I'm in the hospital.
I can't imagine how he's going to be while away from me.
We've never spent the night away from him.

40 weeks tomorrow..
I woke up with contractions this morning 10 minutes apart and was thrilled because that's exactly how I've been visualizing the birth (as part of my Hypnobabies exercises), but my husband left for work sooner than normal and they petered out right after he left.
I'm feeling pretty crappy.. nausea, frequent trips to the bathroom, lots of hip pain, heartburn. My blood pressure was up last week, so I'm trying to eat more protein and lie down for a few hours each day, per the midwife's orders, but that means my house is going to hell.. argh.
My dad's on a business trip and doesn't get back until I think Thursday, so I'd feel kind of bad if I went into labor before then.. but I'm so ready for this baby to come out.

Feeling pretty good today.
Lots of pressure low down, especially when I go to stand up. Catches me off guard.
Yesterday, I had an u/s. Babe is measuring about 7lbs 10oz. (I know, it could be really off, but last time, with my son, they were only off by a couple ounces)
It was a pretty sad u/s. The technician guy was untalkative and kinda creepy. Even DH thought so. Again no pic's of the babe and he didn't even try to 'be nice' and show us a face shot or explain what he was seeing.
I know that the technicians aren't allow to say too much, but the whole, "talk to your doctor" has me a bit concerned. But, I gather, if he'd seen anything really wrong he wouldn't have let me leave the hospital, right?! Grrr. I wish we never went.

Highly annoyed at my pg group on my mainstream board - so many inductions scheduled.
I'm starting to feel like an outcast because I'm the only one in the entire group of 40 women who wants a natural birth enough to not give in at the first suggestion otherwise. It's a very lonely place to be in.
Midwife appt. tomorrow - hoping she'll do an internal, because I need some sort of encouragement that the end is getting close. I was measuring 47 weeks last week and am having an ultrasound on Thursday to check fluid levels and weight. I really hope I go into labor on my own before they can start pressuring me to induce - I don't know that they will but I don't want to find out.

Feeling like total crap. I have a cold. My baby has just broken through his top two year molars and isn't sleeping at all. I can't sleep at all. I was up until 3:30 and then got up at 8. I just can't sleep at all. I want this baby out now, but at the same time I need to be rested first, so I need to get over the cold and get some sleep. I am so stressed out, but for no real reason. My BP is up, I'm sure from lack of sleep and stress. I really feel like I just need a good strong drink and a funny movie. Sigh.

Went to yoga class last night. It was awesome! BirthFree, I totally don't do bridge or even lay down in side lying savasana. I hear ya, it's just too much on the pelvic region. I use a folding chair to do modified down dog and triangle, etc. That helps a lot. More than anything I loved tapping into that inner calm and just being with my breath. And it gave me an ego boost when other people in class were impressed with my attendance! I left feeling really good, and had less pain sleeping than I have had lately.
Other than that, nothing much to report. Feeling a bit crampy at night, but nothing major. Took a nap today while ds watched Spirit for the hundredth time.....and didn't let myself feel guilty about it!!! Just enjoying the day...
PUPPS is not so bad this time around with the help of some dandelion root tincture and some homeopathic apis throughout the day, Much better than last pregnancy, phew!
Hope you are all feeling well, or at least taking comfort in the fact that these babies will all be here soon!

37 weeks tomorrow. I have so much crampy pain on my cervix, I can't believe I'm not dialating, my mw thinks I won't actually dialate until I have contractions. she thinks the baby is 8 or 9 pounds, and I schedulaed an us for the 12th, but I'm not goin to go. we don't want to know the sex, and if she's unconcerned about the size, i figure why bother? last week i could hardly walk from the pain in my upper thighs and hips and pelvis, but this week I can walk albiet a slow waddle. Getting really tired of being the only person at work that has ever thought of a birth center birth. I feel like I have to respond honestly to the question of "what hospital?" yet i also feel like i have to overexplain it, and it leaves me feeling drained and a little insecure....

36 and 5, here (by my dates, 36 and 1 by the birthcenter). Hanging in there. Got my soakers all lanolized and the carpet cleaned. Thought something might be happening last night after the several hours I spent on hands and knees cleaning, but, thankfully, everything settled down after a few hours.
I typically have several weeks of very convincing prodomal labor in the evenings, so even though I don't think baby is coming any time SUPER soon, it is good to know that things are getting started.
Oh, and my birthkit came in the mail today, so I guess we're ready, whatever happens!!

40 weeks.
Midwife asked if I wanted an (internal) exam today at my appt, and I laughed in her face. She giggled and said "yeah, just checking." (there's no point since my body's locked up tighter than Fort Knox until baby comes anyway) Brought home her birthing stool, but they use the exercise/birthing ball too much for me to have it for a week or so. I like having options. So I'm thinking Thursday or Friday sometime is show time. We'll see.

36w2d. MW appt today, all is good. feet swelling, heartburn and pelvic pain remain the same. Baby was ROA, yay. I lost (!) 3 lbs since my ginormo wt gain of a couple weeks ago.
Looking forward to the MW's home visit next week. I have my belly blessing this friday, and we are doing "before and after" family portraits, so the befores are happening on Tuesday next.
Most stuff is washed, except the brand spanking new dipes I just got in the mail. I have to assemble the gear for the homebirth supplies list and make some freezer meals, and I should be set. Doesn't feel like enough time, though. I'm hitting the wall fatigue-wise.

40w2d today! Had a nice older man working at Lowe's today come up to me and say "yesterday?" I said, "close, 2 days ago". He was very empathetic - said his wife had 3 kids and they did a lot of walking in the end!
I'm noticing many physical differences between this week and last week. If I'd had the baby last week, this would have been the easiest pregnancy in the world! So, of course, baby had to wait a bit and start to make my life uncomfortable. Walking a mile is difficult, 2 miles is completely impossible. My feet are swelling (but still just the right one). I had minor heartburn last night (went away with a few peppermints). Peeing every hour at night - does this mean the baby is lower, please?? I'm bored. I'm actually getting tired of knitting. I'm grumpy and am really taking it out on my 3 year old who's very anxious these days.
I'm so ready.

BP situation is going downhill
This morning it was 154/95 and I gained 6lbs overnight. So, called my MW, she was really nice about it and told me to put my feet up, drink a ton of water, and try cornsilk tea. So, got some cornsilk, also picked up some NaturalCalm like NatureMama reccomended to me. After that and laying for a bit I re-took it and its back down to 131/77, and I'm cool with that! So right now I'm just trying everything in the book to keep it there, and also taking EPO orally and vaginally. MW said we might try a membrane sweep friday, which normally I would say no to, but I agree with her that we need to encourage this baby to come out. This BP thing is slowly getting worse and I really really do not want a hospital transfer.....
Anyways, going to my dads for dinner tonight so I gotta run! I was really sad that MDC was down this morning, I was really freaking out and needed you guys!

36wks + ? days (I can't keep track anymore).
The last two days have been busy with entertaining DSS who's been at home on account on 2 pedagogical days at his school. I travelled the city 4 times to bring him to the amusement park and back home, so I'm crabby as all hell.
DH and I had it out yesterday (another crying fest for me) about how little time we spent together. It didn't end well, and I thought we were still fighting today, when he surprised me by coming home early specifically so we could spend time together.
I can't sleep well anymore...constant pain in my pubic bone makes it impossible and I'm more awkward than I've ever been. I know eating treats isn't the best way to cope but frankly, I don't care because I'm so miserable at this point! Now I'm wondering what I'll have to do postpartum to get myself back into shape...we should start a postpartum get-back-in-shape club.
This is what I've been working on so far, but I'm slowing WAY down and it's depressing...I need to make more not less!
