Who can't sleep?

Thread Starter
I can't sleep. I'm tired, I just can't go to sleep. And I wake up super early. Last night I went t sleep around 3:30 and got up at 8. I feel like death all day but when it gets to bed time I can't sleep.

I'm just getting up to pee way too often. Baby dropped and while I have less heartburn, I am peeing all the time.

I can't fall asleep til 2-4 and then I'm up around 7-7:30. It's been like this for 2 weeks. I've been dragging a$$ and I feel horrible. I've started nodding off at random moments throughout the day. I just want to sleep, but I guess I can kiss that goodbye for the next year!!!!

I dunno why but I'm getting to sleep later and later (around 11 or 12) and having a lot of trouble staying asleep. My pubic bone hurts; my inner thigh muscles hurt. I pee a few times a night and readjust positions a few times a night (which seems to hurt a lot these days)....so I don't get much sleep. Maybe that's why I fall asleep when I do hypnobabies!

Between the peeing and the heartburn it is impossible to sleep, but now I am SO excited for this baby to come that its making it even worse! I just lay there wondering when it will come, what it will be like, etc!! I wish the baby would just come... now!

Me! turning over in bed after about 33 wks should be a new olympic sport for me. then, sometimes turning over makes me have to go pee. If I do that, the bean and I go back to the beginning of her/him trying to find a comfy position to fall back asleep in which involves a lot of squirming, punching, kicking, etc. which is often painful enough to make me gasp. Then, maybe DS2 (the fomerly good sleeper) will either wake from peeing the bed, having to go pee, or having a bad dream, or just whimpering in his sleep which will bring me fully awake as I try to get DH to take care of it so I don't have to lumber out of bed. Then, I usually have to go pee.

I just thought of something. I could totally write night time pregnancy woes in the vein of "if you give a pig a pancake!" maybe I will and post it for a laugh.

Oh, boy -- me, too. Sleep has been truly challenging for me all through the pregnancy. Major insomnia. But it`s getting harder and harder to take now. Last night I slept from about midnight to 2am, and then was up until 6am. That`s not unusual these days.

Racing thoughts, restless legs, sore back, constant peeing, and a toddler who still gets up at least 1 or 2 times a night....

SLEEP? What is THAT????
Yep. In general I am way less tired the last couple weeks and just not tired at all at night. My big problem is if I do wake up turning over or whatever (and yes, I am having pain with that too), it is hard to fall back asleep. If I get up to pee at night, it is really all over.

The only thing that helps is Relaxing Sleep Tonic from Herb Pharm. I find that if I take that, I can get back to sleep when I wake up. If not, forget it. Like last night I fell asleep putting Orion to bed. That is always a disaster because then I have had no herbs and will have to pee for sure. So ended up getting up at like 4 and just staying up. Then I don't want to take the tincture at that point because I am worried it will make me groggy into the day. I did lay back down around 8 for a couple hours thankfully.

I have told my husband to get me up no matter what if I fall asleep laying down with O from now on! Hopefully things will happen in the next few days for me, though! I am so ready.

Add me to the non-sleepers club. Even my old standby, Benadryl, isn't working anymore. Baby must have dropped because I've been getting up to pee at least twice in the night for the last couple of days, when I used to be able to make it until morning. Thankfully DS has been sleeping late - my longest stretch of sleep comes between 7-11am. (Yes, I am insanely lucky to have a 2 year old that sleeps until 10-11am. Of course, his bedtime is midnight-ish. )

Well it's 3 in the morning and I"m up.......anyone else?
I was sleeping pretty good, but Nate woke me up.
Of course he went right back to sleep. He's snoozing now.

I had to come in the kitchen and eat something and drink
some coke. I am going to be worthless tomorrow, for sure.

I'm still awake too, it'll be about another hour at least before I can go back to sleep, as that seems to be the routine lately.

I'm in the insomniacs club, too. I've been trying to look at the upside to prowling the house at these hours - I was awake for a 5am earthquake (in Indiana!) a month or so ago, and yesterday morning, I saw a coyote walking through my backyard and down the street (4am). Usually, though, it's me surfing the web, peeing, trying to calm my mind down. If I were ever going to succumb to the temptation to get TV, it would be now, right?

You can see all sorts of weird things in the middle of the night.....
I keep looking out the window to see if any of the neighbors are up!!

aw

I don't think i've gotten a good night of sleep since my 6th month of pregnancy. There's "End of pregnancy sleep" then when the baby comes there's "mom sleep" < which is when any time your baby makes a noise in it's sleep or twitches you're awake. haha

Count me in, this is totally rough and I am so over it

Can I join the club?

First, I can't fall asleep at night because I'm anxious about everything that is about to come (how DD will handle it, what labor will be like this time, is my baby healthy?, will labor come suddenly etc etc etc etc).

Then I finally calm my mind and either my heartburn shoots burning daggers in my stomach or my reflux makes me sit up in bed suddenly to stop from throwing up. Or both.

Then I manage to find that one position that seems to calm the heartburn but the crick in my neck acts up because it is the only position I've been able to sleep in for months.

When that's all over, at 2-3am-ish, I finally fall asleep only to have to shift positions and go pee every 20 minutes for the next couple hours.

Then at 5:30am I wake, bright and early worrying about labor, the baby, DD etc etc.

Then at 7am I fall back asleep, deep restorative sleep, only to be awakened 1/2 an hour later by DD "I'm all done sleeping, Mama!"
