Does your baby make your "birth" sounds?

I've heard a couple of you mention this.. after I had K, I noticed his grunts and cries sounded EXACTLY like the noises I made during labor/birth. How many of you have experienced this?

that's weird. my first ended in a c-section and i was pretty drugged up until that point so didn't make much labouring noise beyond a lot of whining. dd1 didn't make any weird noises as a baby.

dd2 on the other hand is extremely noisy and now that i think about it they do sound like the same grunty, pushy noises i made during labor....

hmm... yes actually. He kinda growls the way I did...

Well, I don't think so (and both my boys were c-sections so they didn't really hear those noises from the outside or canal)... but, Raph is a lot noisier than Donovan in a lot of ways, and I think I was WAY noisier during this birth than my first. I got the epidural a lot earlier last time!

funny you mention this, when i was pottying Elowyn yesterday i was thinking to myself that it sounded like she was giving birth

Not here. I screamed my head off for most of my labor and delivery--my throat was RAW the next day--and DS is a really quiet, laid-back guy who doesn't cry much and almost never screams. He does grunt a little when he poops or has gas, but I think that's just because grunting is a natural "pushing sound."

It isn't just his grunts, some of his sighs and mumbles sound like them too. Very interesting!
