I have fairly sensitive skin, and I need something to scrub my face wiht. I've been using Clinique and it's the last product I cannot seem to give up!

Go to page 2 of this forum...there's a thread titled "wash your face with honey". It's a HUGE thread, but seriously, it changed my life.

I use baking soda with a wee bit of water to make a paste and use that as a scrub...very similiar to those expensive "micro-dermabrasion" solutions from the drug/department store.
I use an aspirin scrub on my chin occasionally, also.

Even though I only recently de-lurked? I have to second the honey, raw honey in particular! A poster on the honey thread also suggested brown sugar mixed w/ the honey for exfoliation...I haven't tried that or the baking soda? But the raw honey has a bit of gentle *grit* to it...what I love is that it's so gentle, but still smooths. By the time it would be getting abrasive, the warm water has dissolved the bits and it just rinses away!

I have used the a combination of the following with great success...
It is a grain and flower facial scrub
oats
almonds
bentonite clay (just a wee bit to keep things together)
lavender petals
rose petals
and you can add essential oils
put all ingredients in a food processor and process until you have a fine powder. Mix powder with a small amt. of water until you have a thinner paste.
