Angelina Jolie-VBAC homebirth with twins?!

I read today in a gossip magazine that Angelina Jolie is planning a homebirth VBAC for her twins! And rumour has it she has gestational diabetes and high blood pressure too. I wonder how true it is (poor celebrities have no privacy), but IF it is then this is a great example to other women of what their "alternatives" are to a simple repeat C-section or a C-section just because you're having twins.

Go, Angelina (and Brad too !). Good luck.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. But it would be nice...

I also read that she would be having a homebirth, don't know about the possibility of complications though. It was also stated that she would have a "team of medics" there for the birth.

I think that Brad is a lot more afaid of birth than she is. With her first birth he had her fly in an American OB to Africa to attend their baby's birth. Its no wonder they did a c/s for breech.

I think I read it was the OB she had seen most of her pregnancy so it would make sense to fly him over esp if you have as much money as they do LOL

Entertainment Tonight stated late last week that she gave birth to twin girls sometime between May 23 and 25, and named them Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane. No information was given as to how the birth went, though.

I though she was due sometime in the fall?

She's due now-ish; the August 16 due date that Dustin Hoffman (I think it was him) said was a joke.

multiple sources have stated that she did not in fact give birth.

i hope like hell she gets the home birth, bu i'm not holding my breath.

I think she's having a home c/s... according to grocery store tabloids, they interviewed the OB--HER ob that's flying to France to deliver--and he said it would "likely be a repeat cesarean, since there is a 1/100 chance of the uterus rupturing when labor starts" and she could bleed to death.

So I guess it would still be a "home"birth... logistics wise, but not philosophy wise.

Well known celebrity Angelina Jolie is reportedly hoping to avoid a Cesarean section, also known as a “C-section,” when she gives birth to twins this upcoming summer.

“She prepared for a natural childbirth for Shiloh and was very disappointed when her doctors told her she would have to undergo a Cesarean section,” a source told OK! magazine...The couple is said to have a midwife and two nurses on standby at the private villa they’re staying in just outside of Nice and are planning to welcome the babies, which will be Brangelina’s fifth and sixth children. The birth and care will be done in a private hospital in nearby Monaco.
