This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

Have you checked out craftster.org? They don't necessarily have patterns but they do have tutorials. I just came across a maternity skirt that seemed really easy to make: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249600.0
You'll just have to search around b/c the website is basically a forum. But they do have some really pretty clothes and craft ideas there. Happy sewing!

Wrap skirts are great for pregnancy and easy to make - there are several tutes on crafster for them.
I used a free short sleeved top pattern from Fitz and lengthened it more at the front than the back, widened the hem and sewed in a really light jersey which lasted me all the way through. I also modified the pattern to make an empire line and a darted bit below it which worked well too.
This is a good idea that could also work for pregnancy.

For shirts, take a regular shirt pattern, one that normally you would cut on the fold and "tip" the pattern out, so the neck is still on the fold, but the bottom of the shirt is 2-3" out from the fold. Then add a few inches to the length and you should be good to 9 months. For a less tent-like look, just do this to the front and then just lengthen the back.
Hope that makes sense, I have a toddler screaming at me!

I see you're in Canada, but Joann's 99 cent Simplicity sales would be pretty close to free.
