Caleb is pretty good except around 8:00... then he is so tired he doesn't know what to do....
our routine is what follows, maybe it will give you some ideas:
7:00- bathtime, warm towel, clean diaper and jammies, swaddle
7:30- boob time with a dryer-warmed blanket. He nurses as long as he wants.
Then I re-swaddle him and walk/bounce from room to room saying goodnight to each room and closet... he is usually whinning by now but is winding down...
if he isn't asleep by 9:30... back on the boob he goes! That usually does it.

my dd screamed for 3-4 hours a day from 10pm on and neither of my boys were easy going either so I totally sympathize!! If you haven't already gotten the book Happiest Baby on the Block I would read it. It has a ton of helpful ideas based on the idea that babies are in the 4th trimester for the 1st 3 mos outside of the womb. Some of the important things in it include swaddling babe and slow dancing, carrying him/her in a sling or using a swing. Also using white noise- I have a white noise maker maching that you can get on Amazon for I think about 20 bucks and it does a ton of different sounds. When the babes screamed the actual "white noise" sound worked best and now that ds1 is 2 we use the ocean sounds to drown out the construction around us while he naps. Hylands also makes homeopathics for colic and Little Tummies has a combo of fennel and ginger that also can help (kind of like natural Tums for babies). There are so many different ideas of why babies are colicky and some peds say it is reflux and will want to put you babe on meds like Zantac. I would try the natural approach first personally. PM me if you want any more info.

An exercise ball does wonders for us. It rolls from room to room so we can watch tv, be on the computer, or have it next to the bed, Bouncing on it calms dd almost instantly and is sometimes the only way she can relax. What works great is putting her in my moby and then bouncing. HTH!

The book Happiest Baby on the Block has a ton of suggestions on ways to calm a colicky baby.We use "the milk shake" a lot...holding her with her chin/chest in one hand and her butt in the other with her belly facing down and then jiggle her while doing shushing...sounds crazy but works great for us...the book has lots more suggestions like this with pictures and all to help you with how to do them. (i think you can find some demonstrations of the techniques on youtube)

my baby gets really angry/upset if she has been up for to long (usually more than an hr at a time and shes beat) but she hasnt quiet figured out that she should just close her eyes and go to sleep. but what seems to work is tummy time, she loves laying on the couch watch her daddy play on his computer, and she will fall asleep. now i only do this when i'm awake for the day, otherwise at night she just likes to lay with me in my bed, with all the lights off and i rub her back to put her to sleep. seems to work okay for now.

Thank you girls I hate meds if I don't have to use them the better. I seem to be getting him to calm down by putting him in a carrier then walking around while kinda bouncing him. Seems to be working so far lol Thank you agian

DD1 had serious allergies that she reacted to through my breastmilk that caused her colic.

DD2 is having a fussy time in the evening, but it's just over-stimulation. Walking with her in a dark quiet room gets her to calm down enough to nurse and fall asleep.
