Wisdom teeth

Thread Starter
I just went to the dentist today for a cleaning, and he advised me to get my wisdom teeth out. I have three, and two have surfaced, and one is under the gums still.

I am not having any problems as of now, but he said the older you get, the harder it is to have them out, and most people who keep them have serious problems with them.

I am TTC right now, but I didn't want to tell him that. I wouldn't want to make an appointment and then end up being pregnant. But I am also thinking into the future, and honestly, it would probably be a pain to get them out with an infant, toddler, or child to take care of.

What would you do? Is there any reason for me to get them out ASAP?

I was just wondering what kind of problems he was referring to and I found this page that has a "What to think about" with wisdom teeth removal:

You have to go down a ways to the What to THink About section. One thing it said is that most problems occur between 15 and 25 and people over 30 rarely have problems with wisdom teeth. So I'd say to think pretty hard about it and ask him specifically what type of problems he's talking about, etc. Especially if you are close to 25 or 30.

Mine were all impacted and removed when I was in high school. It was not fun, that's for sure.
