Pregnant mamas, gestating in June!! - Page 2

29 weeks. pelvic and lower back pain sucks, but i have my good days and bad days. i'm tired of doing dishes. tired of being so broke. dh has gotten a lot of overtime though so this next paycheck should be good and hopefully we can buy some more baby stuff. so far we have only bought a couple of items of clothing and 2 baby towels. we have left over stuff from ds's babyhood but i feel like we aren't really prepared. but i don't think i really have much to complain about. we're still making it!

i've been getting more BH, but i'm not even sure they're BH because a lot of times they feel like they're only in the lower half of my uterus or they are lopsided more towards my right (where the baby seems to hang out.) is that normal? i need to start drinking my RRL tea!

I'll be 8 weeks on Monday. My morning sickness has come and gone, which makes me nervous. Started at 6 weeks, but 7 weeks I had to wear my sea bands or else I was totally useless. Haven't worn then in several days and I'm fine.

I do have a lot of back issues, though. If I'm on my feet any amount of time, I swear my back hurts like I have a 10lb baby in there!! I don't think my back EVER hurt like this with DS. Hopefully that means it's a girl? lol I see my OB on July 7th. Kind of nervous about standing my ground, but she knows we were planning a homebirth with DS (we just never really discussed the lack of midwife, lol) and this time I'm just doing less visits overall and only 1 u/s. So we'll see.

Well, I've had a whole weekend to think about this hypoglycemia thing and I'm thinking it won't warrant seeing a dr over. So I am planning to study up some more about foods I should and should not be eating and getting a cheap meter to check my sugar levels during the day to keep it under control.

Babe is doing great so far. More movement and getting bigger. And, of course, my 6m DS is also getting bigger and starting to crawl on his hands and knees more. He is graduating from the 'commando crawl'! All the other kids are so excited for summer to be here. But the heat is terrible at night and I am having a lot of trouble sleeping. And tomorrow is week 16!

so, 28.5 weeks today (29 on wed), and having a great time.

baby is moving so much. just about every two hours, i get a good round of movement--so much fun!

i think the baby is having a great time. i do find that i feel 'hot' though. it's because it's hot and humid here, and even with the AC on, some parts of the house are warmer than others--like where the computer is! LOL

I am coming up on 32 weeks and I feel pretty good! I'm a little moody, anxious, and impatient, but other than that I am not having a ton of physical symptoms. I have a little sciatica, but nothing compared with my last pregnancy.

ETA: DD and I are hibernating most of the day right now because it is sooooo hot here!!

34 weeks today!

I am at 34wks today. I can't stinking believe it!! I'm so close! I tend to have earlier babies. DD was just before 37wks and DS was 38wks2days. Of course, there's always the chance I go over, but I doubt I will. Although, the more time we have the better! Still so much to do.

I do a modified UP with one or two visits to our family doc. I went to one appt. (basically our "catch up and chat" session ) mid-pg and planned on going this week. BUT, I just don't think I will. I don't feel a "need" and with gas prices the way they are, its just not logical to me.

Comfort wise, some days are good and some days are not so good. I get super itchy sometimes and it drives me CRAZY. I feel like this is a big baby, but we will see!

We're pretty excited about our 2nd UC. Although, we will not be inviting family over this time. Learned my lesson there. We still need to get a baby scale. I gotta get car seats, diapers, and some other stuff for around the house too.

But, we're doing good!

Hey everyone! I'm joining you all. 4 weeks pregnant!

I have been having what seem to be mineral definiciency issues. It seems I can't have any sugar or chocolate at all without throwing off my body's delicate reserves, and even after supplementing and eating correctly I still get restless leg syndrome and trouble sleeping. When it gets really bad I take Azomite powder, which is nasty stuff- like drinking sand, literally-- but it really helps a lot. I wonder if this is because I am just getting off of a 6-week sugar splurge. Not the best way to prepare for pregnancy, I know. I'm trying to make it up by eating super healthy now.

I just prepared a huge vat of honey-sweetened red raspberry leaf tea, and I'm hoping that will help with the restless leg and insomnia.

This pregnancy will be really different for me, though, because it's my first pregnancy gluten-free. So far my symptoms are milder and I don't feel as sick as I did with my other three pregnancies at this stage. Just the restless leg is worse.

HI LTB!!!! Nice to see you here! Congrats!

Hi Tiffani! Thanks!

So I'm drinking lots of red raspberry leaf tea and I'll report tomorrow on whether that helped or not. It's still too early to tell.

33wks + 3 here! Feeling crappy physically, unfortunately.

Spark, glad you're feeling well! I felt so wonderful throughout with my 2nd and it's a great way to feel!

I don't have any sort of supplies together at all. I need to do that.

We were going to have someone on hand to call when I went into labor, because dh said he'd like that, since this is his first birth and it's a UC. But the more it goes, the less I want anyone there other than my family.

I don't even know who I would call. I have one friend I would consider, but she lives in a different city 3 hours away.
No one feels like a good choice to me, I want a cocoon of safety and quiet and alone. Everyone else other than me, dh and the kids feels invasive.

We'll see, I guess. I just want dh to feel as safe as possible, and to have that person to call if he gets too overwhelmed. I doubt seriously it will be needed, so what would it hurt to have someone for his peace of mind. But who? I dunno.

My very good friend lives here in the apts and will be available for me to send my boys to if things get too intense for them, they can just walk over there. I am also going to find a backup, just in case she is not available for whatever reason. My kids are pretty darn sure they want to be here, and I want them here, but you never know.

My sleep is incredibly wonky! It's 3:30 now, no where near ready for bed. I went to bed last night before 2 (early for me), slept till 10:30, then fell asleep again around 1 and slept on and off (mostly on) all day until about 8:30. WTH? How can I sleep that much? Ugh. But I had a busy-ish weekend and swam a lot, so maybe I just needed to catch up.

I think I will need one more OB visit to get a "yes, she's pregnant" form for dh to submit for the FMLA 4 weeks off of work. And I want her to check the positioning anyway. I have NO IDEA what I am feeling in there. None. I want to make sure she's not transverse, cause that's the only thing I can think of sometimes, but then others I'm just clueless.

Congrats! and I hope you get some relief from the restless leg thing. That drives me CRAZY!! Makes me wanna hurt somebody!!! AHHHH! Now that you say that about the RRL tea, I have noticed when I mix mine up that it does seem to help. I wonder if its the rrl, nettle, or alfalfa?

cthulhugrrl- I know what you mean about other family/friends being there during the birth. I had my mil, mom, and dad there last time. I could have done w/out the first two. My dad's pretty laid back and just played w/dd. Actually my mil wasn't bad either and my mom wouldn't have been if she didn't FREAK OUT all the time. She was like, "omg the baby's gonna die!" to my sister on the phone on the way to our house. Thank goodness I didn't hear of it. Then she came up on the steps when I was pushing ds out so she could "make sure he was crying and ok" . OMG.

This go around we're just preparing better for the kids. I'm a very much, leave me alone type of person when I'm in labor. We're taking some pointers from kidzaplenty that I seen on here. We're doing a "labor box" for when the time comes and I just feel like I want to be alone. I've already got the toys, games, etc. I just need to get a tote to put them in. In early labor I plan on preparing little snacks for them to keep in the fridge too. I think it will go quite well.

Well, I finally bought some gloves. Dh prefers to use them which is fine by me. It took alot for him to come around last time when I wanted to UC so whatever makes him feel comfortable. Now I just need some scissors and maybe some hibclens and I'm good to go! OH! The baby scale. I need one of those. Come to think of it, I also need 2 car seats. Boy, that's not cheap.

Speaking of scales... I seen this one at babies r us...

I seen the reviews weren't great, but I really want something more accurate than a fish scale which is what we used last time. Any thoughts? Ideas?

This is something I'm trying to figure out, too.

I think that one has too many bad reviews for me personally, especially since they all say the same thing.
I don't want to buy a scale! lol I'm cheap. But I know I need one, and actually, I'll probably need a more expensive one. My milk never came in with DS, so we were constantly going to the ped and the lactation consultant to have him weighed. And it was a $25 co-pay EVER DAY to go to the ped just to get weighed. Yeah. I'd feel much better being able to follow this baby's exact milk intake myself this time.

*ETA*

I do have a baby scale that I need to sell. It's not as acurate as I need and it's just taking up space. I'm willing to let it go really cheap, too. LMK if any of you are interested.
I know. The reviews are bad. I was trying to be cheap :. I found another one that's really good, but it's also $120ish.

I may be interested in that scale. What kind is it, etc?
I have a postal scale that I use. Only cost $35 and I use it for a lot of different things. I just put a blanket lined basket on it than zero it out before putting babe in there.

Anyway, I kept going back and forth about seeing an OB. Well, I just got back from seeing him and things went really well. He even got me in for an ultrasound to check the location of the placenta. Turns out it is partially covering my cervix right now. He wasn't really concerned about the glucose levels other than giving recommendations on getting it back up and telling me to have frequent snacks to keep it up. And he is perfectly fine with only seeing me when I want, and to be a back up if I need to transfer. So, overall, I am very happy with things.
