I gave birth to dd (my third baby) 2 months ago. I had the typical course of postpartum bleeding, which basically had ended 3 or 4 weeks after the birth, with a resurgence of a few days at 5 and a half weeks. I have not had any bleeding or spotting since 6 weeks pp (about three weeks ago).
I just developed a very bad yeast infection and now I am noticing spotting. Could this be due to the yeast infection or treatment (I have put in two does of monistat 3) or is it more likely to be renewed pp bleeding? I've never had spotting with a yeast infection before and I've had a lot of yeast infections, but seldom one this bad. If it is pp bleeding, should I be concerned? I've never had spotting this late in the pp period before either. I don't think it could be my period returning because I didn't get my period back for at least 9 months with my other dc.
