im stumped

what do i keep getting wrong here?

anyone have problems with the Nursery Knit book? im trying to knit the doll right now and there is an error in teh 2nd/3d line (im pretty sure).

it says to cast on 24 stitches.
then it says (for 3 row):
k2, inc in next st, rep from * to end. 32 stitches.

if i inc every 2 (which is how i read that), i will end up with 36 stitches, not 36 right.

(the way im getting this is that im increasing every 2 knit stitches..which is half of 24 so 24 plus 12 is 36...isnt that right).

You're actually increasing in every 3rd stitch. This always confuses me, too. But you have 2 normal stitches, then increase in the 3rd, 2 normal stitches, increase in the 6th, etc.
