Congraulations! Sounds like an awesome birth. My third was born in the caul, it was the first time for both me and my midwife LOL.

Did you do anything with the membranes? My friend and doula spread it out on paper and we dried it!

I have some awesome pictures, like the one of the kiddo crowning, though my kiddo was posterior, and actually sort of came out facing my left side...(go figure)! The picture from it is really awesome (and underwater) of course, but I was hesitant to let it out because I had a feeling it would wind up being all over the internet....

And, wow 8.5 hours of pushing! That is incredible! The longest I pushed was about a half an hour with my posterior baby.
