What is this pain down there?

Is anyone else experiencing pain in their vagina? I've never felt anything like this before, but it's this sharp sudden pain down there when I move or when I'm sitting in a chair and change positions. It almost feel like my hip is popping, but it's not in my hip it's down there. It feels very deep like it's in my joints/bones. Could this be pressure from the baby getting lower? Or maybe he just dropped? Or is this totally normal? I never experienced anything like it with my last pregnancy and it's weirding me out.

I know its totally normal...I get it too. Not quite sure what causes it but for me it only comes after baby has dropped.

Oh that's interesting! I don't know if he has dropped yet, but I did feel this weird kind of heavy sensation when I got out of bed this morning and come to think of it he feels a little lower today... maybe he really is dropping!

on't know about it having to do with dropping, but I'm lousy at being able to tell. Honestly I don't know if any of mine have "dropped", but I'm so short waisted and have such long babies that even when I'm pushing and they're on their way out, there's STILL baby up into my ribcage. My MW made a joke about that last time..................

LOL Funny I am exactly the same- short waisted with a freakishly long waisted DH and therefore really long babies, at least dd was/is. I never felt her drop at all...and this little guy's head feels really low down there but his butt is still up practically between my breasts!
