Help figuring out baby's position

Thread Starter
I am 31 weeks pregnant and at my 28 week appointment, baby was head up. I am hoping for a VBAC, so, positioning is my latest obsession (I know, its still early, I would just much prefer to know baby is head down.. even if for a moment!). By the way, my c-section was a failed induction and not because of a breech.

My question is this. I feel a bulge at the fundus and also feel a lot of rolling around toward the top of my uterus. I also feel kicks at the top as well. All of that would make me think head down, except that I feel hiccups at the top even when I feel kicks there too! Sometimes the bulge is "ballotable" and if I tap on it.. it moves very quickly.. Only occasionally do I feel anything lower and to the extent i do, its really nothing more than a "squirmy" sensation. Any ideas how this baby might be laying? I am about going nuts trying to figure it out!

thanks!!

If the hiccups are at the top, could the "kicks" be from an elbow/elbows? I got a lot of helpful information about positions from the www.spinningbabies.com website, especially this set of pages: http://www.spinningbabies.com/index....ping&Itemid=28
