for those that make their own paper sales catalogs...

We are in the process of making up our first sales catalog. I really have no idea how to go about doing that, my publisher program only seems to do 12 pages, and only 8 things per page, maybe it can do more and i just don't know how.

we are going to be selling vitamins, supplements, herbal teas, tinctures, slings, postpartum gifts, bags, belly casting kits, etc.

We are also going to be putting these items up on the website, but since much of my clientele is amish, I absolutely have to have a sales catalog.

I got some quotes printing them from staples, but I am wondering if people print their own and how they put it together.

thanks for any advice or direction you might be able to give

What do you want your software to do?

Hi,

What do you want your software to do? I make adverts for a small magazine. I use the draw function of openoffice (www.openoffice.org). I found it fairly easy to use and you can generate a pdf.

what I want to be able to do is a catalog of product, similar to other medical catalogs like cascade or the LLL catalog, so i need to be able to set up something to list a bunch of product and product descriptions on one page.

for example, let's say I have 20 supplements to sell,I want to list them on maybe 2 pages, the name, description of whats in it and purpose, then the price.

when I try to do it in word, if I go back and make changes or add something, then all the stuff after that is off margin, it moves all of it, does that make sense?

I know that lots of small businesses have catalogs so I think I am probably making this way too hard and there is an easier way, I am not just not figuring it out by myself?
