Poison ivy and Dr Bronner's soap

I read somewhere that if you shower with some kind of soap after possible exposure to poison oak/ivy, that the oils would get washed off. Would Dr Bronner's soap work in this case?

I'm not sure about Dr. Bronner's - I use it to wash, but I don't know about for poison ivy. There is a wash made by Oak and Ivy called Technu - I'm sure it's pretty strong chemically stuff, but my dp gets horribly reactions to poison ivy, and it has helped her many times. You can also use it to clean tools, gloves, etc...

Burt's Bees has an anti-poison ivy soap that I like lots.
