Does anyone have a recipe for roach control? I heard Borax is good to rid of roaches but I'm nervous about using it since I have indoor pets.

Borax is the only thing I have ever heard of. Subbing for information.

You can sprinkle diatomaceous earth around where they go. That won't hurt pets or people.
If you use a borax or boric acid preparation, just make sure it's where animals can't get it. Some of the commercial roach motels/baits are just boric acid, and you can hide them behind the sink or whatever.
Also, what roaches really love is water. If you can make sure there's NO water in the problem areas, that can help. That means checking for leaky/drippy pipes or faucets, not leaving dishes in the sink overnight, and even drying out the sink before you go to bed.
I just noticed you live in the southeast. Are these "waterbugs" -- the giant black ones? Man, I hate those things.
