What is involved in a swap?? Is it a mail kind of thing or do you need to be close by to actually physically swap stuff?

If its a mail thing, I'd like to be involved!

It's by mail. Just go to the linked website and all the details are on there. You'll need to become a member of the group though.

Quanilaz set up a Yahoo group for it, so we're set! And as for being in the UK, that's no problem, since we have one member already in Europe and I'm sure many of us are willing to mail to the UK.

Swaps here are often done via mail, with a certain value (i.e. $20/package+shipping)

You know, after some careful thought, I'm realizing that my life is WAY too crazy to do the swap right now. I'm bummed, but I would rather bow out now than not be able to participate as much as I would like to.
