Aack! I can't believe it is coming up so quickly. DD will be 2 in 2 weeks and I have not done a thing! I think the whole fam damily will be staying out at the beach at a little inn for the weekend. So we can have friends meet up with us there then walk across the street to the beach.
Help me think of fun ideas that won't involve buying a bunch of JUNK! I have pretty simple taste, and would love just hanging out with everyone, but my DH wants to make a big deal of DD's birthday. I want to have something planned ahead of time to prevent him from running out and buying crap at the last minute.
I think I have a natural, sugar-free cake taken care of. Maybe buy some special soy or beeswax candles? What kinds of games could we play on the beach? It is going to be BLAZING hot, so we can't run around but so much. What do you think? Just get some beach toys to make sand castles?
