i said no induction no matter how far b/c the length wouldn't be the deciding factor, the wellbeing of the fetus would be. past 42 weeks, i would moniter often & make sure fluids, movement, etc were all okay. if good, then no reason to induce.

my little guy was about 12 days "over"...on day 11 we did a scan (first of pregnancy) to check fluids. they were fine so my MW said she was fine with waiting for natural labour. but after peeking at my cervix she saw i was already 1cm dialated!

1st baby 37w (30 hours after water broke, planned hospital, all natural)
4 years later, 2nd was 42w5d (home)

I went crazy at the end, but I also was confident that baby was ok! This time (5 years later), 43 weeks will put me into 2009 - but I still probably wouldn't induce.
