Nasal Congestion

I now have the pregnancy related nasal congestion. Good times. My snoring has gotten so bad that my poor DH can't even sleep in the same room with me.

I've tried my usual sinus rinse, but it makes me throw up. Any other suggestions?

For those of you who experienced this before, did it go away once you delievered?

I've had this for the first time w/ this pregnancy (#3)...but i've had it all the way through. I started blowing my nose in the steamy shower and that helps for a bit.

My aunts all had this too, and it went away shortly after giving birth. I've heard it's likely related to the extra blood volume, swollen tissues in mucous membranes, etc.

HTH.

Thanks, Tracy. I'll talk to my mw about it too. I just really hope it goes away once the baby comes.

Oh this is me!!!

Its usually in the morning and a steamy shower really helps... I can't always manage a shower first thing though...

To get REALLY TMI now... My mucus is usally really thick and clear...but today its yellow... Weird!! It doesn't look like yellow that changes to green, meaning infection...but its still kinda weird!!

I've been using breathe right strips. They contain nothing medicated, and really help open my nose up so I can breathe!
(it's basically a strip of plastic on top of your nose. You can buy them at the store, that's where I get mine)
