So I'm overdue (40w5d) by those little wheel charts caregivers use for that magical date. I'm even past when I delivered my other two kiddos (both 40w3d exactly).

So, should I attempt Eggplant Parmesan (which I've never had before, honestly) and coercing hubby into DTD and hoping for the best tonight? Because we are all just miserable. You know, if mama ain't happy, no one's happy? Plus the kid's barely moving here and there because there's just no room, and it's *really* going to start freaking me out tomorrow. I just know it.

Lurking .... I've heard that the release of laughter can help start labor... so put on a chicken suite and take one for the rest of the June DDC team!

Well, I don't so much see the point of the eggplant parm...but DTD can't hurt! DTD led to some bloody show for me w/ DD's pregnancy and then continued on into labor.

I'd go to Taco Bell and eat something greasy instead of the eggplant parm, then dress up like a chicken while doing the deed.....that should do it!

I'd just opt for lots of lovin, and forgo the eggplant parm (it sounds yucky to me for some reason). How about a nice long walk and some fresh pinapple?

I voted for other. My good friend swears by taking a walk with pantyhose on!

I'm right with ya mama. Of course I have been 42 and 41.5 in the past, so I'm not holding my breath. : And I did eggplant parmesan and plenty of the deed last time! It was acupuncture that finally worked.

I voted for the eggplant and the lovins....neither could really do you any harm! It is sooo hard to remember, but babies do come when they are ready, take it from a mama who had a babe at 42wks and a day! It was so hard those last couple weeks. But he's five now. They do come out!

I also am not sure what the eggplant parm is supposed to do, but the rest of it sounds fine to me...that, and try to relax. What about homeopathic pulsatilla to make your bowels move and irritate your uterus?

not sure about the heat index in your neck of the woods, but the chicken suit would certainly cause dehydration here!

If eggplant sounds appealing, eat it. If DTD sounds appealing then definitely do it. As my mom always says, even if DTD doesn't bring on labor, at least it passes the time (That said, DH and I have managed to DTD 3 times in the last week (thanks for visiting and taking care of DS, mom!) and don't have a baby to show for it yet... though I put in my request [to the baby] for tomorrow ) Still, can't hurt.

Anything can help . . .your mind think your getting somewhere. This is really tough I have only been over by 4 days 40+4 not this heroic 42+ stuff. . .so why not just try and do all you can and talk to your baby and laugh, cry, yell. I say whatever you want to do do it! Here's hoping something starts for you soon

Sure! If it will make you feel like you tried something!

I doubt you would have to coerce your hubby!
