Styrofoam Packing

Thread Starter
Dad bought me a TV for my birthday : and now I have a heap of Styrofoam packing pieces that I can't recycle and have no ideas of what to do with it. I hate to throw something so big and light into the landfill if it could have another purpose.

Any suggestions?

are they the peanuts or the chucks....assumingly it is the chucks.
UPS stores used to take them...but they stopped....atleast mine did. I know there are still some places that take them.........but there don't seem to be a lot.
You might advertise them for free. I know some people have use for that type of stuff. For instance one time when I was taking my styrofoam into the UPS store, a guy stopped me in the parking lot and asked if he could have it because he did a lot of shipping and it kept him from having to buy it. I should have gotten that dudes number so I could continue to get them to him. Although the bad part is that they would eventually find their way to the dump.
I give mine to the local school....they have a recycling room. They use them for activities such as hammering golf tees into it with a play hammer.

Also if you have kids or know someone that does that would appreciate it, you could make a play work bench/table out of it.....meaning they could pretend to build stuff out of it using golf tees as nails.
