Hey dads, can you please weigh in on this thread?

I am wondering what you dads would recommend as a first father's day gift for a really wonderful AP, incredibly loving new papa. I started a thread over in Parents as Partners, but no dads have actually chimed in yet.

Well, for any TMBG Fan a good pogo tune will do. But, since They don't tour after making kids albums... that maybe more difficult than you have time for!

Father's day is tough... it is sort of guilty and awkward to celebrate a FIRST father's day with a FIRST child and not feel a little undeserving.

BUT... I would think an AP Papa getting any token of appreciation for his hard working and full lovin Mama would do just fine. Something personal, reflective on the past yet symbolic of the future as a family.

DW got me something nice... but the card she gave me brought tears to my eyes and was so pretty and thoughtful that I framed it and hung it up at work. I see the art and secretly know on the other side rest some mighty powerful, humbling, loving and supportive words.

Give him a glance of who he is to you--share some of those thoughts that are hard to say.

By TMBG, do you mean They Might Be Giants? We have their child albums.

I can't post (yet) what I ended up getting him, since I suspect that he may lurk here... I usually stay out of the Papa section in hopes he'll delurk, but I really wanted to get some papa opinions.
