I was so anxious to move up up up ... now I'd really prefer to move back down, thx.

I've really loved the DDC experience. I can't believe it will be some years before I can join another DDC. Can I like, fake a pregnancy or something?

I have LOVED our DDC so much! But I'm okay with stepping aside and letting the other ddc's move up. Remember how exciting it was to see the old ddc's get archived? It means those other mamas-to-be are that much closer to holding their babies! How exciting for them. Now that we are focusing on how our babies are smiling and laughing and getting into being chubby little cuties, I think it's okay to move on. It's so bittersweet.

I'll never join a ddc anywhere else, though, that's for sure!

It's both sad and exciting all at once...bittersweet.

I'm thrilled for what I've learned and shared here, and I'm really glad that some of us are continuing to chat on a yahoo list, but I'll miss some others, and I'll miss the format and the chat. I'm grateful for the kind of initiation I've had to motherhood, the support I've had, and the respect that has been demonstrated for similar but different choices.

At the same time, I also know that things move in cycles. It's time for us to move on, to experience life with our babies, and to share about that in whatever safe places we choose (I wouldn't mind a thread in LWAB, since I read MDC for other stuff regularly) and for new people to experience their DDC.

So I hope we stick around in some format. We're a pretty good bunch.

Wow, I remember when there wasn't even an April forum yet, just a thread in the main Pregnancy forum. I think I joined the day I got the BFP.

I'm up for it -- I don't know how regularly I'd participate, but I'd definitely check in from time to time, and I'd love to read about how everyone else is doing!
