Moving and finding a ped

We are moving soon and I so dread finding a ped who will except me not vaccinating. I've been kicked out of a ped for it before, found another who I'm not wholly satisfied with, and now I have to look again. My DD1 has bad allergies, so I need a relationship with a ped I can trust. I tried to just go into the Prime Time clinic in our new town a few weeks ago when I was a bit nervous about my DD2's horrible cold, and the ped there was just hideous. He automatically assumed I fed formula, looked shocked when I told him I bf, and prescribed abx after being with us for 2 minutes... sending us on our way. He wouldn't even have a conversation with me about that choice. So, I can't go that route. I'll need a regular ped. This is a very small rural town where I grew up. I know I'll probably be one of the odd moms out, because I'm very sure there are few if any other moms who don't vaccinate. I just so dread having to defend myself over and over. Not to mention I'm on state healthcare, so consults are out of the question. blech! Sorry to rant, but I'm not keen on doing this again. Why do they have to treat us like horrible people for protecting our children?

Have you checked the FYT board for the area you're moving to? I found that to be a great help when we moved here. Good luck!
