I'm totally swollen, like really bad all over. My bathroom is not wheelchair accessible and as of yesterday, I am not able to climb up onto the toilet so I've been using a bed pan on the floor to pee in (50 million times a day) and using a step stool that I feel unsafe on to get on the toilet for BMs (which thankfully is only once a day and timed perfect that there is somebody here just in case I fall.) I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I'm almost considering asking my doctor to admit me. I'm concerned about my blood pressure because I can feel it go up when I do any type of activity, even just walking from my bedroom to the bathroom, or transfering from my wheelchair to the couch. My mom thinks it would be a good idea to be admitted, and Ken just wants me to be ok and he'll go along with whatever. So I don't know... Anybody have any suggestions?

OH, hugs! I know someone who had ecclampsia and it was awful. If your blood pressure and swelling is that bad...go to the doctor!

Take care of yourself and let us know!

Hey Sarah,
I would definitely talk to you doctor about admitting you! Sounds like hell and today is your EDD...
The swelling and BP issues sounds worrisome.
Hope you can find some comfort in these last days of pregnancy!

Not from your ddc, but didn't want to just read without posting. I think you should go if you would feel more comfortable somewhere where you could get immediate help. BP is a scary thing when you feel like there is nothing you can do about it! I hope you feel better soon.

((((Hugs mama.)))) It's sounds like you should get to the dr ASAP. It doesn't meant you have to stay forever, see what they say. ( that's why I picked the 3rd option) Remember you are the client and you can make your own choices there, still. SO much love and good thoughts to you! I hope you get some relief ASAP.

If your BP is really skyrocketing I'd go. At least go and see what they say.

I'd go, at least to get checked out

That sounds completely miserable! Hope you feel better and the baby comes soon - if you'd be more comfortable in the hospital, I'd seriously consider it.

It couldn't hurt to see what they say. . .what is your birth plan like? If they they can help you out without to much of intervention you may not be looking for why not? Sounds like so much pain! Hope you get some relief soon. . .like a new baby to hold
