He seems like a toddler already, techinically he is almost a month old.
Born June 3 @ 8:28pm 9lbs 2oz 22 inches
Not the birth I envisioned. After two sleepless nights of prodromal labor and then 20 hours of active labor that only got me to 4cm, I went into the hospital for an induction and epidural, I was too exhausted to go any further. After the epidural I was then able to get in some spotty sleep which would give me the extra strength needed to push for almost 4 hours to birth my big, healthy happy baby. Luckily we had a group of great nurses and a very patient obgyn. No one thought I was going to be able to push the baby out, including my dh and myself, I was very swollen down there and they even had the instruments ready for a c-section. I was about to give up but then mustered up the strength to push the baby out!!! Hardest thing I've ever done. I bled a lot, they did some vigorous massaging of my uterus and a shot to stop the bleeding right after the birth, not sure it was necessary but I was screaming in agony from the pain. Still recovering after 2nd degree tears, bowel movements are quite a terror. It's been a roller coaster ride.
But, experiencing what everyone talks about, the falling in love everyday with my lil man and just enjoying his cooing, his smell, his facial expressions, can't stop staring at him.
