I recommend checking this DVD out at the library:
I can't believe I'm crocheting! Beginner
Alternate title: Learn to crochet with Melissa Leapman
Published Little Rock, AR : Leisure Arts, c2006.

What kind of felting? needle felting? crochet, then wet felting?

Me, too, knitting is easier for me---right now all I can crochet is a circle as I watch over and over again the YouTube tutorial

Crochet for Dummies and Visual Crochet are also really good! I tend to be a kinetic learner, so Visual was really great for me!

Hey, this is fun, glad I found this thread.

Anyway, my crafts:
Learned to knit & crochet in childhood, got back into knitting last year, but for now for crocheting all I can do is a circle, next challenge: crochet flowers!
Wet felting (knitted, then wet felted) & felting wool sweaters & making them into things like pillows & cupcake pincushion.
Dyeing wool yarn with Kool-Aid.
Sewing-simple stuff (like pillows) just regular machine (I do not have a serger, nor an embroidery machine), hand-embroidery, cross-stitch.
Paper crafts & rubber stamping, cards, scrapbooking, paper cakes, paper banners, decorated tins, altered composition books, etc.
Am I forgetting anything?

What's next? I'd like to try needle felting, it would be fun to embellish the items I knit & wet felt...

Speaking of making things by hand, check out what I bought today (I posted over in the thrifting tribe too, not exactly a thrift find, but I bought it at a church rummage sale today).

Its a really cute handmade dollie set. I think its handmade at least. Its made from branches and rope. It even has homemade bed linens, a pillow, and chair pads.

table and chairs
bed
bed frame
close-up
chair pad

Guess how much I paid for it??????

frog, your niece is so cute in those hats!

Do all of you go to craft blogs daily? I love it when they have free give aways! If you ever come across a free give away at a craft blog, would you mention it here? Thanks!
