[/I]The reaction to Always isn't so rare. I had a gyno who warned all of her patients about them because so many women had come in with reactions.[/QUOTE]

My midwife specifically asks her clients to get other brands for after birth bleeding for this reason.

So what the heck is in those pads! That's so gross. I won't put my DS in diapers with the gel because of my reaction to those pads. Don't know if the same chemical is in diapers. Just another reason for using cloth.

In regards to my mom getting sick from chemicals.....she was so so sick she almost died. It was from an overgrowth of candida yeast in her gut. She got to the point where the only thing she could eat was baby food for 2 years because she couldn't eat anything without having excruciating pain.
She is great now! It was digestive enzymes that saved her life. And now she is a Bioset practitioner and helping others that have similar problems.

Lexapro.

I have severe health anxiety and have been hospitalized for anxiety-related health symptoms recently. I recently started Lexapro after many years of avoiding medication. I developed hives and facial swelling within 4 weeks of using it. Ironically, although I really WAS experiencing a life-threatening health situation that time, the Lexapro which caused the condition also minimized my worry over the fact that I was experiencing a severe allergic reaction! Unfortunatley, I had to stop taking it.

My son has a sun allergy. It's worst in the sping for some reason.

My daughter got a rash from zinc oxide diaper rash cream. So the rash kept getting worse and worse...

Me:
Ajax cleaning agent (hives and itching all over my arms)
KY Jelly (severe itching, not exactly a mood inhancer!)
Any metal that isn't 100% gold (hives)

Mom:
If it grows, she's allergic to it. But she is anaphylactic to Cottonwood trees when they are blooming. Luckily for her, in our town they tend to be just around the river and she lives on the other side of town and doesn't have to go around there often.

I have some pretty unique allergies. Let's see, I'm allergic to vitamin E (Tocopheryl acetate or tocopherols) I think it's because it's usually made from soy beans or in a base of soy oil. I'm also allergic to peas and carrots. Also beef which I'm told is very rare.

Well this is TMI but the only thing I've ever been allergic to was one particular man's semen. I have no idea why and it was only this one guy. I remember I got some on my arm and my whole arm swelled up with hives. Thank goodness we used condoms!! I can't imagine how horrible that could have been otherwise! He was a pot head...the only time I've ever been around pot in my whole life although I was never around him while he was using it (quite honestly I don't even know what it looks like) but sometimes I wonder if maybe I'm allergic to marijuana and it was in his semen?

Dd is allergic/intolerant to avocados. I'm sure she'll have some weird stuff pop up here as we are discovering new sensitivities with her almost every week.
