Yo Gabba Gabba

Is THE.WORST.SHOW.EVER!! It's so annoying and condescending. What the heck happened to 5pm Little Bear on Noggin? I need that nice, peaceful music and calm at this time of day!:

I actually like it. My daughters are too cool for it though. It has a kind of Deeelite cum Teletubbies vibe that both soothes and stimulates the more, I don't know, reptilian parts of my brain?

I loathe this damn show. Its idiotic, and the kind of thing that they warn you not to let your children watch. Why? Because it literally sucks the brain cells out of their head. Yes, I dislike this show.
And what even more annoying?
Me, at random time "uh abreak it down!"

I like the show.

"Don't bite your friends!" What a great message, ya know?

Don't eat food off the ground after you've dropped it in the dirt because it has "tiny, ugly germs."

I like it.

I can't stand it.

Never seen it, but does anyone watch The Soup on E!? Joel McHale is always making fun of the dancers in this show. I know it's not nice to make fun of little kids but it's hysterical. LOL.

We no longer have Noggin, but my kids used to like it. (And Little Bear too!)

We always liked "There's a party in my tummy... so yummy! so yummy!"

Also, my kids always love the dancey-dances.

I like it and think its pretty fun...

Before it aired my DC and I were sent the DVD. I had to watch it with my DC and then voice my opinion in a focus group. By the time the focus group came around, I was down right annoyed by YO G G.
After a while it grew on me. We had a fire and during cleanup someone stole our DVD's. So no more Yo G G for us.

My girls like it for one reason or another. I don't mind it.

At least it doesn't have violence or sex scenes.

This is one of the few kids shows I can watch with my children without being bored out of my skull.

I think Yo Gabba Gabba is the best show on TV for little ones right now. I mean, where else is my kid going to see a musician playing a Theremin? On Dora? The songs and animation are really cutting edge. They have ACTUAL musicians on each episode--the Agrolites, Sugarland, SuperNova, Cornelius. More importantly, their message is simple, sweet and effective. And one thing that should make many on MDC very pleased is that the Aquabats (the Indie band who created the show) have not sold out to the merchandising juggernat that is Nickelodean, even though they are under tremendous pressure to do so and could make gobs more money if they did.

I love Little Bear too, but I am very happy to see that networks are still willing to take a chance on something innovative for a change, instead of just repackaging the same old crap.

YO GABBA GABBA ROCKS!

"Think Happy thoughts... HAPPY THOUGHTS! Think happy thoughts... HAPPY THOUGHTS!"

yeah, that'll never get out of my head now.

or...

"Be nice to everyone, and yooooou will have a friend!"

It's cute, but annoying, and totally geared to those of us who got down to Dee Lite in the '90's and like to crank up the sub woofer when we watch TV with our kids!

My kids also love to get their wiggles out.

Wiggle wiggle wiggle go wiggle wiggle wiggle go wiggle wiggle wiggle go..."

Hold still!

Thank you for pointing this out.

I sure wish I could find the clip of Sugarland on YouTube or something. Jenn is a friend of ours and my girls would go crazy to see her on the show.

The big freaky muppets or puppets or whatever they are just kind of freak me out......I guess it's reminiscent of HR Puff n Stuff .....lol
I also just dont like the Orange guy......his clothes rub me the wrong way.....I'm sure the show has a great message but I cant get passed those two things...

I love it- great show

The show annoys me, but I guess I can see some of it's merits. However doesn't the big tall orange Muppet with bumps and one eye remind anyone else of something that is not a toy for children? If my son watches that show all i can think is, "The costumer must have gotten his/her inspiration from an adult toy store." It looks like a 6 foot walking and talking dildo.

The glimpses I've seen bug me, but maybe I should give it a chance. DDs love the Teletubbies (as did DS when he was little) and I thought they were wacked out until they grew on me.

The commercial came on when a friend (has no kids) was over, and her comment about the orange guy was, "WOW, that one is ribbed for someone's pleasure!" I've never looked at him the same way since.
