Help, I lost my filling!

I lost a filling in one of my upper rear molars. So far it's only slightly painful, I'm not noticing sensitivity to heat or cold. I am not sure how much of the filling is gone or when I lost it. I only noticed a few days ago that I could see a dark hole/spot in the tooth, and I had to think a moment if I still had any old amalgam fillings. I remembered that I didn't, my last dentist fixed me up with a tooth colored composite. So now you can see the metal from the old filling. I can't afford to go to a dentist immediately. What can I do? I know about cloves, but I'm not in much pain at all, and a friend told me to not waste time with the temporary filling stuff you can get at the drugstore. Do I just keep my fingers crossed and hope I get to the dentist before this becomes an issue? The dentist could easily be a month out from now......

TIA

there are pain relief remendies on that site

you dont have to get it refilled-you can remineralize it with nutrition or fill it with drugstore temporary filling material

Thank you. I will look that over. A question about remineralization..... I'm new to the concept and haven't had time to read the 20+ page thread on the subject. Can it be done over a cavity that has been drilled out? As I mentioned, I still have some metal filling in this tooth that had been covered with a composite filling. Would the existing amalgam that is there prevent remineralization of that part? I would love to get the rest of the amalgam out, but it seems to me that the part of the tooth that it is still covering would not be able to remineralize?

TIA

In Europe you can buy an emergency self-filling kits at large supermarkets and of course in pharmacies. Maybe you can find it at ebay.
saying that, I generally second the remineralisation of teeth by means supportive nutrition, you find loads of it in the internet.

Back in the 90ies my grandma got a little cotton ball instead of the filling because she could not have treatment for medical reasons. that had to be exchanged daily and after 3 month or so this teeth could be treated without any other complications and is still intact.

You can put bee propolis on it for pain and healing -uncle harry's site sells it

remineralization can be done over a cavity that has been drilled out-the sides of the uncovered tooth can still absorb minerals from foods you eat: raw dairy sea salt bone broths
under the cavity a hard enamel layer will from and protect the nerve-many people's fillings pop out naturally to make room for new growing enamel layer
