Can hardly walk, masively fat, really tired, very happy. Everything in place for labor day, family primed and ready. Just spending as much quality time with DS and DH before things get hectic.

So I wake up in the morning now and say in my head, 'Stiiiiiiilllllll pregnant'. :snort: I just plain 'ol don't think it's going to be this side of at LEAST 39w at this point. I'm shocked honestly and wishing I hadn't assumed that my body cooks ALL babies fast b/c apparently that isn't true now (or at least this is the exception to my "rule" if I had one).
But I'm going to keep this most in my forethought today (b/c I really really really am feeling so very uncomfortable and am still measuring 4w ahead)... I Love My Baby and I'm just excited to meet him/her.
Prayers for the perfect timing for birth for all of us.

I was just about to do that...
37w3d. MW home visit today...would like to have birth kit all assembled and ready to go when she gets here. Having one last leg wax also...don't want hairy gams in the pictures! The pedi is tomorrow (I'm so vain).
BH ctx seem to pick up at night accompanied by a bit of menstrual kind of cramping. I've never really noticed that pattern before, but I was "nesting" yesterday (cleaning our room - the birth room, cleaning out the freezer). Maybe next week things will calm when I plan to do nothing unless it actually appeals to me.
how is everyone else?

Thanks for starting it!

Went in the pool again last night, it was heavenly. And of course, when I got out, I felt VERY heavy and crampy. I've had a few pretty strong contractions this morning at work, but VERY spaced out, and nothing to get myself excited about.
One thing that made me wonder this morning....
On the way to work/daycare, my son was watching Cars the movie in the backseat, and it was near the end, during the race. I almost cried about 4 different times! 1st, when Guido changed Lightning McQueen's tires and surprised everyone... I almost cried (because I knew how proud of himself he was), then when Lightning pushed the older car (can't remember his name) to the finish line so he could finish his last race, I almost cried. Then, at about two other spots, I almost cried. And this was just listening to it! I was driving, or I would've cried. But I knew driving while crying isn't great. If I would've blinked, tears would've been flying down my face. Now, I've heard/watched this movie DOZENS of time (DS has a thing for anything with wheels), and I've NEVER gotten choked up about it!
The day I went into labor with DS (water broke) I was very grumpy and emotional... so who knows!

GRUMPY!!!! Man, I was doing so well these past few days! Spirits high, no prolonged crabbiness, just a few spurts here and there....and today I woke up feeling like a bear! Plus the PUPPS rash seems to be kicked up a notch after being almost gone
Ugh. Sigh......
Going for a prenatal at noon , then to the library to stock up on lots of books and dvd's for ds. I figure we can borrow them for three weeks, and I am BOUND to have the baby in that time!
No more mucous plug sightings since Monday.
A Little crampy last night but nothing big.
The unending well of patience I had seems to be slowly diminishing. Maybe its just the grumpy morning!
I think I am really ready to have this baby now.

40 weeks today - my baby seems very content where he/she is. Have an appt today so we'll see where things are at - maybe she just needs a gentle nudge to get a move on? We have plans to head down to the park for a picnic and to enjoy the free concert tomorrow evening, which should be fun. ...and if we end up canceling them, that would be ok too

38 weeks.
Kinda thought last night might've been the night. Woke up at 2am w/ctx. Timed them at 8 min for the first hour, 6 min for the second, and then at 4 min for the next two hours. Managed to get to sleep and woke up intermittently. Up at 7:30 and everything is still at about every 5 minutes just not getting any more intense. Ugh.
Still, must be doing something, right?? I have a theory going that the babe has to be born this week: Audrey was born during the 37th week, Meredith was born during the 39th, and Nora was born during the 40th. So, if this babe wants its own birthweek, the 38th is it! (Of course, I could be jinxing myself and predicting my first 41 or 42 week pregnancy,
)
Either way, I'm starting to make my list of post-dates treats. A friend suggested during my first pregnancy that making a list of great things you're going do for yourself every day you go overdue can both help if you actually go overdue, and even give you a reason to enjoy every day until your due date, b/c you're one day closer to treats! So far my list looks something like:
40 weeks - Sparkling lemonade from TJs
40+1 - 2 of my favorite chocolate treats from WF
40+2 - Pregnancy massage
40+3 - Dinner out w/Dh (& a glass of Conundrum)
40+4 - New knitting book
40+5 - Grilled steaks and a stellenbosch Cabernet
40+6 - Solo trip to the LYS
I'm so excited for all the mamas that are having their babies!!

38 weeks today!!
No real changes, except that I am terribly moody today! Today is our anniversary and we were supposed to spend the day together. Well, now Dh has an appointment this afternoon which means getting ds earlier, and having to cancel some of our plans. But on the positive side, we are going to eat at one of my favorite Thai restaurants today
:
Still not ready for the baby to come, so I'm not feeling bummed about that. I still haven't even made my necklace from all of the beautiful beads I received from you mamas

39 weeks today. Sad. I had really hoped that things would start yesterday but they didn't.
I did have an appointment yesterday and I asked my doctor to check me. My cervix is somewhat soft, but no dilation at all and still very high so we were pretty disappointed. She was surprised, I think she fully expected there to be a lot of progress, I know I did.
Because I am having a VBAC my doctor is really only only comfortable inducing naturally if I'm favorable and currently things are not favorable. I also have GD and am expecting a big baby (last one was over 11 pounds--we're guessing this one to be around 10 at this point) so we had agreed to not go over 40 weeks a long time ago. She's not comfortable going over 40 and I just am really not comfortable with it either. So, we did schedule a repeat C-section. She's happy to let me go right up to 40, which would be next Thursday, but I would prefer her to do the section, so we agreed on Monday which is her last on-call day. I initially said let's just do it Friday (tomorrow), but she talked me out of it and said that I should really push it as far as I can because anything can happen.
In the meantime she will check me today at my NST as she is on call and she will check me on Monday morning before we go directly to the section. If things start becoming favorable she is more than happy to try to induce as naturally as possible, so I am keeping my fingers very crossed.
It's not how I wanted to do this, and definitely not what was planned, but I'm feeling mostly okay with things right now.

Feeling good! We finally have some sunshine today to brighten my mood. It has been raining all week and that just makes me feel tired and grumpy. Two friends who were due around me had their babies this week so I'm just waiting for my turn. We're off to the park for playgroup...
Hope everyone is doing well!

ELV to all those Mama's who are approaching that mountain!
Nothing much here. Lots of BHX (like everytime I move it seems), but nothing else I guess. I'm tired. I'm heading to my doc appt in 15 minutes. Otherwise its rainy and gray here (good day to have a baby but not to be pregnant LOL). I'm looking at Sunday for the birthday. We'll see....

Feeling pretty good, I was way swollen last night, it was gross, like I could FEEL the water in my fingers, ew! That was at this place we took DD to play, called The Jungle (its like a climbing structure place, I guess like what they have at mcdonalds but way bigger and a place for toddlers to play too). Anyways, they had the thermostat set to 78 (I walked by and saw it), which makes sense, but I've come to realize that anything above 75 makes my swelling AWFUL. As soon as I got home to my ice box (yep, I admit it, my thermo is set to 69!!), I felt MUCH better. Thats probably not very environmentally friendly of me, but I can't help it when I'm this pregnant!
Today I'm taking DD1 to an API meetup at a park and DH, who has today off is staying home to finish cleaning the kitchen so we can put the birth tub in there!
(or, put the table in there and put the tub in my living room. I'm not sure yet.)
BP is up slightly again (132/78, up from 124/77 yesterday) but as long as we're under 140/90 we're in the clear so thats good. Now, it better stay down for my MW apt tomorrow, last time it shot up, probably from the hour drive to get there but still, it caused worry and thats the last thing I need at the moment!

Uneventful night. We had pizza and it made me feel nauseous.
Don't know if it was nerves or the pizza.
I need to go to wal mart today to get some last minute
things to bring to the hospital.
We're supoosed to be there tomorrow at 5:30 and the c section
is scheduled for 7:30. Hopefully it goes by quickly.
I just want to meet the new little girl!!!

I have a cervix like Ft. Knox and a uterus of steel. *sigh*
At least I suppose it's comfy in there.
And after my castor oil experience, I couldn't be happier to have had no false labor in the last day. If my body's going to start doing contractions, they'd better lead somewhere.

I'm over 38 wks. at this point. I need some more time so I'm still hoping I've got another 1.5-2 wks. in me and I think I do. Dh literally just walked out the door to get on a plane
I hate his job and I think it's utterly stupid to go out of town at this point - even though he'll be back around 9. My births have been pretty speedy, sometimes w/o warning so I'm grumpy about him leaving.
I'm not sleeping well but it's more b/c of freaky dreams. Plus, dh is sleeping w/dd - when she has a bout of seizures we usually sleep with her b/c we're worried. Anyway, I don't sleep well w/o him
I'm going to try and be productive today. I think the baby will wait on me to finish my nesting so I better get a move on if I want to be done.
I saw the mw yesterday so dh could ask his "what-ifs" since we are ucing. She's so great. She's never said "Oh yeah, I think ucing is an awesome idea." But she is so supportive and relaxed about it. She's seems confident that things will go as usual and believes it's going to be a great birth. I think she's excited to hear about it
I hope things are kicking in for those of you who are closer. Happy birthing everyone
