This is a great book. Sew What! Skirts. I love that I can make a skirt without needing a pattern. I have myself and 3 girls, all different sizes and I don't want to buy a pattern for each person. This book shows you how to take your measurements and then draw the pattern outstraight onto the fabric.

Does anyone have other books that they like that are like this. I would love to find one for kids clothing and pants. Or a book with patterns that I can transfer to paper and use in a number of sizes?

I like the Kwik Sew books for a variety of patterns in different sizes. They have a baby version, a toddler one, and a children one. You need to use your imagination though because the pics in the book are horribly outdated! But great basics, easily adaptable, accurate sizing, etc.
