red bull I know- it is terrible- but it calms my tummy. Also eating frequently but in small amounts. Never getting too hungary is my key. And if you are destined to get sick- drink apple juice- tastes the same both ways

I just bought a pair of those acupressure bands at the pharmacy. I've been wearing them for a couple of hours now and even though I still feel cruddy the urge to vomit is much less.

Nux Vomica homeopathic and the Sea Bands are my mainstays right now. And Blue Sky makes an organic ginger ale that's delicious.

Last time cinnamon Altoids helped a lot, but I can't find them anymore.

And Fruit Stripe gum. Which I'm sure is loaded up with all kinds of nasty stuff, but last time around it helped a lot.

Good to know!

lets see...not getting hungry which means frequent snacks for me; Reeds ginger brew (stronger then most reg ginger ales); preggi pop drops, although I've read any hard candy would probably do these taste good though. These things have helped but I think the main one is not getting too hungry.

I'm taking notes here, since it hasn't fully hit me yet. I get the slight queasies early on (about 5 days after conception!), but the real queasies usually hit around 8 weeks.

With my first son, ginger snaps were wonderful.

I make sure I drink a lot. It makes stuff easier to throw up if I can't avoid it any other way.

Diclectin!

I get very sick when pregnant with a healthy baby, I'm only 5 and a half weeks or so and haven't been able to eat a meal in days so I called and asked for a prescription for it already. With DD I was the same way, the constant nausea makes it nearly impossible to get any nutrients or fluids down. I was taking a Bcomplex while ttc so the naturopath thought that may help as well as acupuncture, probiotics, and high protein meals but we spent the $200 on medication today after all. I hope it works as well as it did with DD again.

with my first two I had a prescription for phenergen and used it a good bit. this time around i'm going to go all natural with controlling it (hopefully). I take supermom vitamins and have some tummy tuneup on hand, both I have heard work wonders during pregnancy. I get them from www.beeyoutiful.com
I also ordered some preggo pop drops the other day! Oh, and red raspberry leaf tea is supposed to help also.

ginger tea has been working for me. i've been nauseous from about 10pm till 2pm the next day for about the last week. i finally got myself some of the tea last night, drank a cup before bed which took care of the queasiness right away and i woke up feeling fine. ginger is something i've always used for nausea, but for some reason i didn't expect it to work so well for pregnancy nausea.

THe only thing that I'm worried about is how much these herbs (milk thistle and dandelion) have been studied and if they are indeed safe during pregnancy. DO you know? I see that you are taking them so you must feel that they are safe and effective. How did you find out about them?

Thanks!

Not in your DDC but I've finally found something to help my nausea and thought it may help someone else...

"Floradix and Herbs"-a liquid iron supplement which has a lot of B Vitamins also.

Also Ginger capsules (I got from my acupuncturist). I can't stand the taste or smell of ginger so that couldn't help me--but these capsules do the trick.

I started both of these a few days ago and almost immediately the nausea went away and stayed away! Yay!

I get the most sick feeling when I am hungry, so I have also been eating frequently. I have also found that if I eat a little protein every time I eat that helps too. Today I had apple and cheese slices, and it was so fabulous! I think that might become my new craving . . .

I also drink ginger tea, which helps a lot. I didn't think it would do much, but I have been surprised at how effective it has been.

I don't have any MS yet, thank goodness, but last time I learned NOT to drink straight water, always cut it with something, OJ or cranberry, decaf tea, etc. Sadly I learned this at the end of my 5 month MS ordeal. I had no idea that H2O was a trigger for nausea. You live, you learn.

I'm on diclectin but it's not working so well for me. I'm still throwing up 2-3 times a day and in constant nausea. I'm going to call my OB tomorrow and ask about Zofran.

This thread came up at the perfect time. Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I didn't have any MS with DS, but it's hitting me hard all of a sudden this time.
