I'm knitting Katja for DD2 using Bernat Softee Baby Ombre in Candy Baby.

Picture

I was cleaning up my craft room yesterday, and stumbled across this fabric that matches the yarn exactly. I have just enough to do a pair of bloomers.

Is it too much when all together? I think it might be, or it could be really cute. I definitely want to make *something* out of this fabric to go with the top - it matches TOO perfectly to not use it.

I think bloomers would look adorable. You'd get tons of people asking where you bought it.

I think it will be cute.

Bloomers would be adorable, or a little wrap skirt.

Go for it.

i say make them.

if it turns out you think it's "too much", she can just wear them separately.

I think it will look sweet.

That's an awesome match! I think the bloomers would be very adorable, and like a pp said, she can always wear them separately too.

Go for it! It'll be great and like another poster said you could always wear them as seperates

I think it will be very cute too! Hurry up and make it so we can see photos of it!

Seriously, when you get a match that perfect, it must be destiny, that's all I have to say! I have never seen fabric and yarn that were a more exact match than that. You HAVE to make something to go together! Besides, you're little one is so cute (I keep going with the pictures!) that even if it's too much, I think she can carry it off. I'm partial to blonde hair and brown eyes though, since that would be DS's colouring!

Well, I finished the top, but it's quite a bit shorter than I like, so I'm going to add a ruffled edge to it.

I've managed to cut out and pin the fabric for the bloomers; I have more fabric than I thought I did, so we'll see what else I can come up with - maybe a stuffed bunny or something.

ooh, let's see it, let's see it!

Finished top

We finally got orders for our upcoming move, so I've been busy packing, etc, and the shorts still aren't done, but hopefully I'll get them done while it's still warm enough for her to wear the outfit!
