Anyone liking the Enki demo?

I am trying it right now and reading through. I really like it. But the price!!! I wish I could get it seperately but I think you have to buy the main guide which is really expensive.

Anyone else surprisingly like it? I wasn't expecting to after hearing a lot of negative reviews.

Yep, I liked it a lot. The Guides appear to be a wealth of information, not just for teaching/learning but also for understanding child development. I ordered the Kindy package. We'll see how it goes. I'm a bit nervous about all the reading I have to do, but I'm excited too.

I didn't get a chance to check out the GR1 package though, and realized after my 5 days were up that if I'd wanted to, I'd have had to do it during the same 5 days I was looking at K. Oops.

As far as I know, you can order pieces here and there without ordering the guides. However, unless you order the Foundation Guides you won't get access to the online family support group. And to get access to a grade-specific online support group, you have to order the package for that grade.

I know some people have liked the Enki philosophy but have had trouble putting together a day-to-day schedule. The founder has been working on addressing that concern, and has developed some new materials to help parents with scheduling. Package owners get access to these documents online, and I imagine they'll eventually be a part of the printed and electronic versions.

LMK if you end up ordering!

I just spent a marathon 5 days reading through the Kindergarten and 1st grade packages. And surprisingly, I now feel I HAVE TO have the 1st grade package! I really didn't think I would like it so much, but I did. It really clicked with me. The only problem is the price. I'm still trying to figure out how to swing that. We'll see...

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the e-docs? I'm getting a "your not allowed" message.

Have you successfully opened them before? If so, check to make sure you have an active connection to the internet while opening the PDFs. I had to keep refreshing a Firefox window in the background to keep mine active.

If you haven't yet successfully opened them, go back to the instruction page, and make sure you installed the demo license. It involves installing an Adobe plug-in, and until that step is completed, you can't view the docs.
