Homeschgool / Teacher Discounts? - Page 2

Here in Canada we have in the past bought theChapters/ Coles plus all of the little stores they own, card. They have a special teachers option that was discounted I think. It was about 25 bucks for the year and gives you big savings on everything including the books that are already on sale( we cought a good dictionary the first day and I saved enough on that one purchase to pay for the card). I could get good hardcover books for well under 5 bucks sometimes.
Some museums offer a homeschool discount.
One of the teachers stores on the island offers a homeschooler discount but the other doesn,t.
Because we have to register our kids here in BC , we asked our homelearning group to send us an ID card this year. It doesn't have a photo.... I haven't used it yet so I don't know if it will be useful for us!

I haven't gotten mine yet but if you have a Learning Palace near you(they're also online) they give a homeschooler discount.

since you're in BC did you kno wthat Black Bond Books gives 15% off to homeschoolers... no card, you just tell them you're a homeschooler and would like the homeschool discount... even at their discount stores
