Ha! If DH wants to give me a break, he can do the laundry. Nursing is my relax with baby time. Ridiculous.

I just listened to it and unless they changed it, it didn't seem too bad to me. He says that it is easy for dad to "serve up some breastmilk or formula in a bottle" and then goes on to say that burping, playing on Saturdays and changing diapers are great ways to bond with baby and for dads to "step up to the plate"

I can't say I'm a big fan, but it doesn't sound like he's promoting formula over breastmilk.
I can't find the topics tab you are referring to. I'd like to listen and see if what you found is the same thing I heard. But I'm doubting it because what I heard definitely said pour some water and formula. Nothing about breastmilk in a bottle. But I could be mistaken. Would like to hear what you found though but I can't find it.

Focus on the Family is so
I don't believe the assumption was that the baby is formula fed because the beginning said "A dad obviously can't nurse his baby, but he certainly can pour formula and water together to give mom a break." Something like that. So it referenced nursing.

Arg. That website is infuriating! Sometimes when I click on "listen now" it brings be to another page. Sometimes it pops up a window. It's the window that you want. Inside the window is a gray tab called 'topic'. Then filter by topic.

It's by Dr. Bill Maier... 6.13.08
