OMG I love the birth ball!

Ok I'm probably the only one on here who is just now discovering how awesome and amazing a birth ball is, but I just got one and I had to post in case there are any other slackers like me who don't have one. I thought my reclining chair with footstool was comfortable...but oh man this thin is like sitting on a cloud I can see why so many women love these for labor, it's such an open position to sit in. And the shooting vagina pains I was having every time I re-adjusted myself in the chair are completely not existent with the birth ball. I LOOOOVE it

YAY!

I got one late too, but earlier than you!

I agree its puuuuuurfect!! It works great when you sit on it and lean on the bed to rest too!

They're good for bouncing babies, too I used to put ds in the sling and bounce while I watched tv. Sometimes, it was the only thing that soothed him.

Aren't they great?! I loved mine so much last pregnancy, and do this time as well. Plus it makes it so much more fun to sit at work at roll and bounce around!

They rock! I'm taking mine with me to the hospital even though they have one in each room.

I also love mine, but unfortunately it is a little to small for me, but it was free so who am I to complain. I just have a hard time getting down onto it and up from it. but when I am on it it is great.

It was a lifesaver while I was laboring. I knelt on the bed and draped myself over the ball and then when a contraction would hit, I could rock with it and it felt SO much better than just holding still. And our hospital had them in every room but the ones they had were really squishy so DH went home and got mine (that's the perk of having a really long and drawn-out labor - sigh) bc I liked the firm support.

Oh man! The birthy ball goodness! When I got mine last pregnancy... it was like the heavens opened and choirs of angels began to sing. I don't think I sat anywhere else for the last several weeks of Nora's pregnancy. I even sat on the birthball at my sewing machine......

OP - you're not alone. I'm in awe over here right along with you! My DH just got mine inflated for me yesterday and it's just great! The only time I had ever used one before was in hard labor at a hospital...haha...so I didn't have any great memories. I can't wait to use this one during labor! I even sat on it during some of my check-up with my MW today.

Oooh, yeah - it is really good to drape over. I usually spend alot of time on hands and knees but that gets so tiring. Leaning over the ball is soooo much better. I actually pushed #3 out like that!
