How do I bleach 100% linen fabric?

I have natural colored 100% linen fabric that I would like to be white. Does anyone know how I can safely bleach it without damaging the fibers? (I am making a baby sling, so I don't want to compromise the sturdiness of the fabric)

Any help would be appreciated! I have been searching high and Low on the internet and cannot find anything specific on it.

Bleaching will by definition weaken, though not necessarily damage, the fibers. The most effective bleach (and most toxic) would be Clorox bleach. B/c it's for a sling, the linen probably shouldn't be Clorox bleached.
Another option is lemon rinse and then setting it in the sun.

If it were me, I wouldn't think of bleaching linen. I think that natural coloration is yummy. Plus a white sling is bound to get stained. But that's just me.
