My insurance won't pay for an Ambu bag for my DD, but guess what they DO cover?
: It's just very, very annoying. An Ambu bag at her bed side is not really a necessity, but a very good idea. She hasn't ever stopped breathing, but it wouldn't be unexpected if she did. And if she did and those precious moments without oxygen caused further brain damage, she will end up costing them even MORE. Or maybe they are hoping she will just die so they don't have to cover her at all.
I googled Ambu bags and they are like $26. And it's not just the Ambu bags. They don't provide nearly enough medical supplies and they wouldn't cover a pump for me but they WILL cover formula.
Imagine what they could pay for if they stopped doing elective non-therapeutic surgery on infants.
I'm just irked today. There's no real reason for this post.
