so, i'm saving up sweaters (and buying some cheap ones at garage sales) to turn into butt-sweaters for my babies, and i was wondering...do they have to be 100% wool or can they be partially something else? i grabbed a free one the other day that is wool and ramie blend. will it still felt up, and will it be waterproof? it's more ramie than wool.

It probably won't felt if it's more ramie than wool. I think it should be at least 90% wool.

I have used as low as 85% wool. Right, other than that it doesn't really felt up.
Ramie is a natural fabric (plant-based) and is absorbent though, so I'd be inclined to find some fun use for the sweater. http://www.swicofil.com/products/007ramie.html
